It's the Tesla Motors Model S Vs the BMW i3.

GREENCARREPORTS.COM

Tesla Model S Vs BMW i3: Electric-Car Efficiency Comparison Test

The EPA has dubbed the all-electric 2014 BMW i3 the most efficient production car sold in the U.S., with an impressive 125 MPGe rating--the best of any electric vehicle. By comparison, my 2013 Tesla Model S with an 85-kilowatt-hour battery is rated at only 89 MPGe. That's a hefty 39-percent...

Tesla is FREE to charge and has many more benefits against the measley difference in efficiency.

BMW would be over priced for what it's really worth........not much.

Wow ~5 mikes per kWh vs. Tesla Model S ~3.5 miles per kWh ... Stefan Manhart is right on point " totally different cars for totally different groups of users and driving habits " ... but the performance is NO comparison, Tesla must be experienced!

The Tesla is undoubtably the best car in the world, but I live in a small city with many narrow streets, so the BMW i3 makes more sense for me and probably uses less electricity for inner-city driving.

Best of any electric sold in the US. In Europe we have the Renault Twizy Tech which does 211 MPGe...

Plugs into a standard domestic socket to charge. You can find those anywhere you go.

But again that's for a different group of users. Half the owners are petrol heads, because it drives like a stolen gocart....

When should the U.S. ban the sale of gas-powered cars?

GREENCARREPORTS.COM

California senators push Biden to start phasing out gasoline vehicle sales

New fuel economy and emissions standards set by the federal government should include a date for the shift to EVs, two senators argue.

My 2016 Kia Soul EV with 39k miles just had the battery replaced. If ICE vehicles were just as reliable, we wouldn't need a law to ban them.

Actually, both ICE and EV vehicles should exist. Let the free market decide what they want. Too many people might just want plug-in hybrids.

We love our hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Right now there are only stations in California and Japan but it fills up as quickly as regular gas. The Honda Clarity goes somewhere between 250-300 miles on a fill up. Companies like Budweiser are buying hydrogen fleets for long distance hauling. The only drawback is when the hydrogen supply is inconsistent. We just need more suppliers. This is our fourth year driving the car. I extended the lease.

Don't bother. Once EVs are superior for a job people will buy them. The Tesla Model 3 outsold the 3-series, A4, C-class, IS and ES the past two years.

With the way EV development is going, it'll be an easy sell for 90% of buyers at the end of the decade, and just let the other 10% move over when specialty vehicles that meet their wants and needs come out.

Solid state batteries with ultra quick charging, extreme long distance, all weather reliability and longevity before ICE vehicles are viably replaced. Hybrids are best choice for road trips in 2021 even over Tesla currently - why? Get too far from a highway and there is the risk of not finding a charger. Too few BEV chargers and too many malfunctioning chargers mean ICE will be here for at least a decade.

I assume that's Joe Biden's own Corvette; the one he did wheelies with when he had Jay Lenno as a passenger. If the US bans sales of gas powered cars today, the value of true collectors' cars like this one will skyrocket. Do it Joe, just do it!

If a person wanted to buy an ICE vehicle if there was an EV with the same features, only a fool would stick with the ICE vehicle. The EV is so much cheaper to own and maintain. Therein lies the issue, you need a charging infrastructure to handle the large number of vehicles on the road and we need more options. There isn't an EV option that meets my daily driver or my diesel truck to pull my camper. They are getting close but not quite there yet. I think it will be about 20 years before there is an EV option for every niche.

Is 22 miles of all-electric range enough for the plug-in Jeep Wrangler 4xe?

2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid rated for 22 electric miles

The official EPA range rating comes in 3 miles less than originally anticipated, although Jeep has said that maximizing electric propulsion for off-road ability is the priority.
