Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, is a 3DS game that is a "spiritual successor" to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light (that was for Nintendo DS). It has been developed by Silicon Studios and published by Square Enix.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is a "traditional RPG" that is based around turn-based battles, random encounters, and a job system focused battle system. It uses "BP" a type of stocked points that is used to gain extra turn. This is where the first part of the title "Bravely Default" comes from. When you are using the "Default" command, a turn is skipped and you stock a BP, the "Brave" command uses a BP so that you can move twice.
The game takes place within a area that is known as "Luxendarc". Tiz Oria is a citizen of a country within the land until his home is struck by a disaster leaving a hole in the continent with Tiz being the only survivor. Tiz, is destined to become a "Warrior of Light". He meets Agnes, who is on a journey to free the wind crystal from the darkness that engulfed it. She is being pursued by the Jobmasters of the Eternian's Air Force, who seek the power of the crystals and anyone in possession of them.
According to the developers, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy contains 60-70 hours of of content before the games end credits. However, to complete all that the game has to offer you will have to play a lot more.
Bravely Default launches in Europe later in 2013, and in the US sometime in 2014.
