Today’s unemployment statistics are a disappointment and a clear sign that Obama-economics are not working. Unemployment has been over 8% for 41 straight months and President Obama cannot deny his policies have failed. This contrasts with the Ohio record of the past year and a half of being second in the nation on job creation. The energy industry in Ohio is growing and we have to promote the responsible development of our domestic resources. That’s why I’ve been fighting to reduce and reform burdensome regulations and taxes, cut government spending and encourage responsible energy development. It’s time to end the broken promises of the past three years and get serious about turning our economy around.
I want to thank the voters of the 7th District for their support again tonight. Every election is an opportunity for the American people’s voice to be heard. As every election before, I will take their voices to Washington, represent the men and women of the Seventh District, and make sure their voices are heard loud and clear. We started the year with a booming economy and opportunity for all Americans. I am confident we will be able to return to a safe, healthy, and prosperous America.

I didn’t run for Congress to get the media’s approval. I’m not a fancy public speaker and you’re not going to see me yelling on cable news every day. I went to Washington to work for you. For too long, the bureaucrats in the swamp have run our government and our economy into the ground. We turned it around after 2016 and provided hope and opportunity for ALL Americans.
