Indonesian Solar Mama Mailani has been working diligently on her Solar Engineer Training since her arrival. She loves her classes and making friends here in Tilonia, despite the language barrier between her, the locals and the other Mamas. Speaking only her native tongue, she still manages to make others laugh with her humour and smiles. Mailani manages her classes better each day using sign language, diagrams and expressions. Other activities are all seen as opportunities to learn and grow, such as Digital class, yoga and Enriche, and she is enjoying everything. Back home in Indonesia, Mailani lives with her mother, uncle and aunt. She is a farmer and saleswoman in a small shop. It was very difficult for her to leave home for six full months to do Solar Training, as she is very close to her mother, but the journey to her is well worth the sacrifice. When Mailani returns to her community, she dreams of electrifying her remote village, and opening a small shop adorned with solar panels on its roof. #SolarMama #Indonesia #BarefootCollege
