THE 1 to rule them all. The all-new BMW 1 Series. __ BMW M135i xDrive 5-door: Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 7.1 - 6.8. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 162 - 155. The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at https://www.dat.de/angebote/verlagsprodukte/leitfaden-kraftstoffverbrauch.html.

I bought the F20 M140i because it has a strong and smooth 6 cyl engine and rear wheel drive, will there be a future option with the B58 and M-style X-drive with rear wheel drive for the new 1-series?

The products and services offered by the BMW Group reflect the specific requirements and sales opportunities in each market. Since North America has never been a "hatch" market and interest in a BMW-brand vehicle concept of this kind remains limited, we have decided not to offer the BMW 1 Series in North-America.

As a current 2014 M135i owner I find the new design and inner set up very appealing but what made my choice was the 6 in line and rwd... Maybe a retrograde reaction but I regret these choices... Why not a 2.0 6 in line like in old z4?

“Why always the 1 series?” It always had to put up with highly questionable design cues such as that triangular headlines in F20 debut. And now FWD and that big nose on the F40. The 1 series does not deserve to be a lab rat, you know.

Dear Georgiy, thank you for your interest in the all-new BMW 1 Series. The third generation of the BMW 1 Series showcases the debut appearance of BMW’s cutting-edge new front-wheel-drive architecture. Benchmark driving dynamics for the segment and a far more spacious interior are the result. A five-year process of development has seen all the experience amassed over recent years with front-wheel-drive BMW Group models come together with a transfer of technology from BMW i to the BMW core brand to create a proper BMW with a character all its own.

At first glance, hard to tell if it's a new kia model, mazda or Hyundai. here is the thing BMW, you allowed competitors to become better and better not only in designs but also in engine dynamics. It's really worrying that people are starting to take your designs for Kias and Hyundais. It got that bad.
