A roundtable discussion on the prospects and challenges of RMG industry was held in Dhaka on 30 April.
Different stakeholders, including leaders of the apparel sector, economists, and entrepreneurs, took part in the discussion which was jointly organized by the Daily Samakal and ThreadSol.
While attending the discussion, BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman said that the RMG industry of Bangladesh is moving ahead amid a number of challenges, including, shortage of skilled workforce, fall in product prices and increase in production cost.
He stressed the need for proper policies and strategies to address the challenges and make the future path of prosperity easier for the sector.
