Woo hoo, look what could be coming to the Big Pineapple soon.
Tree Top Challenge is looking to open the country's largest high ropes and zipline course at the iconic Nambour site.
Tree Top Challenge is the award-winning businesses which operates a popular high-ropes courses at Mount Tamborine on the Gold Coast.
Big Pineapple Development Manager Jim Costello said the TreeTop Challenge was seeking approval to run the high ropes and zipline course among mature stands of trees.
"Establishing Australia's largest high ropes course at the Big Pineapple will be a huge drawcard for the Sunshine Coast," Mr Costello said.
TreeTop Challenge General Manager David Taylor said the Big Pineapple course could cater up to 200 visitors at a time and will offer around 120 different challenges within the trees.

"We removed the petrol motor and we've put in a 50-kilowatt-hour battery with a 130-horsepower electric motor and so now she's ready for the next gen; she actually gets 250 kilometres of range." ⚡

They'll be in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to shoot a locally produced and directed feature horror film, The Gorge.
🎬 Filming gets started today, and will continue on location around Kenilworth, Image Flat and Black Mountain for the next three weeks.
The film will also star local actors Nathan Morgan and Holly Axsentieff, Brisbane actor Jasmine Barui.
Lincoln Lewis, who is best known for his role in Tomorrow When The War Began, and who lived in Caloundra for a time, says shooting a film on the Sunshine Coast has been on his bucket list forever.
"Hopefully The Gorge ... can get a bit more industry happening on the Sunshine Coast, because the Sunny Coast, Brissie, the Gold Coast, we have the best locations, we have the most incredible crews, and it's always baffled me why we don't have more of the industry happening here," he says.
"Just to be working in the Sunny Coast ... it does feel like a bit of a dream come true.
"And I'm keen to hit up the Eumundi Markets on Saturday, because it's been a bloody long time since I did that!"

The challenge now is how do we control them. Out west they have natural predators to keep population in check. Their only enemy is cars.
