Come to the Philippines and let’s talk about how Facebook makes it difficult for journalists now to perform their job as people continue to access, and believe in disinformation in your platform.

Journalism in the pre-internet era made it the Fourth pillar of democracy and since people could get to know about happening news/info only through newspapers or television, journalism and journalists played an important role in governance; post the internet, news/info/fake news reached the user a tad faster but post-smartphones, info/fake news reaches the citizen as soon as an event happens and then becomes news, meaning that governance gets into a reactive mode as governments don't have any way of controlling information to dictate or manouevre public opinion as per its vision/strategy and with the omnipotence of the social media platforms like Facebook, governments, alas, are like relics struggling with how to make the wheels roll, while their people are flying at warp speed.

Gosh! I could be interviewed by Mark Zuckerberg for this lecture 🤫

Very exciting for the future of news

I am very grateful and thankful for your peerless effort and success to bring the world a small village through social networking platform. I do not get married and have kids yet but my sisters dose this by itself allows me to observe and noticed kids at different age exposed to the word face book amazingly some time this goes beyond what we think and believe regarding their great interest to being a part of it .

I am well aware that your company rules and regulations dose not entertain them to Creat and hold account .But according to my observations kids break the rule and wants to sit and follow what their parents follow through in their Facebook pages.These days kids receive their elders or parents smart phone and unlock and access many application easily and may be exposed to see video and written article which we many believe not helpful for them. This thing always take me to think that Facebook owner can bring a Solution to socialize our kids to the world at early age in way that help them to develop their communication skill through share knowledge,experience culture languages history,art and extra curriculum activities at large with different parts of the world.Thinking and designed it that they should not spent to much of their time on it and control it to works only weekends with special parental Guidance or control. Mr. Mark, Facebook should establish that once a certain percentage of the content is deemed false or based on fake news or stories, the page is suspended, keep it up and the account will be deleted from the platform completely.

I disagree with Mr Springer about curation. I think Facebook will have to curate to some degree because otherwise they will have difficulties if fake stories get widespread coverage. Untrue gossip spreads like wildfire among friends and without curation Facebook will be blamed because such stories go even faster on the internet.

It is important to know that for us Fb users. We are informed about real news, since sometimes the information is not true. I always appreciate the new plans for the future. Congratulations. Sr. Mark Zuckerber.

You should have techs answering phones to help facebook users who have had accounts hacked and passwords changed and emails to be able to retrieve there accounts. My account has been hacked back in october 21 2018 i have sent my id birth certificate to be able to recieve the password to open back up my account its now april 2019 and still havent had any luck with facebook. I think you should have people live to help.

Keep being awesome Mark to support successful people from junior to senior generations in various fields and journalism is one of the examples of it. Welcome Mathias Dopfner, the CEO of Axel Springer, the largest publisher in Europe to be hosted by Mark. Journalism plays and building models with quality news are parts of the topic to talk during the discussion. I am pretty sure it must be important topics to discuss in order to expand Facebook into the largest on line population. That's why it could have spent hours to discuss about these. Well, future technology and society must be developed because they grow rapidly everyday and we live in the 21st Century now so we can't be behind to know more about the future technology and society that must be pretty cool. Get many nice moments Mark and have lots of fun to pass all the hard things.

What about all the digital media publishers on Facebook that were completely wiped out last year?

We spent years paying Facebook to build our followings, and our fans loved us and our content, but one day Facebook decided that phase was over. Why should any publisher trust Facebook again?

Little By Little Facebook is moving forward. Letting Future issues to be covered in/with ideas that are facing All folk’s around the World. I hope that direction is universal. Our young people need to be able to have enhanced/ expertise that allows an insight to a networking of trust. All our jobs are involved & important. Growth & equality is being sought in many ways in/ as we learn with/ from the freedom to share our thoughts. Let’s hope Facebook And other’s find a medium within technology that involves thoughtfulness, to Journalism, media, publishing, connections to outside sources, etc … that allow us All to gain knowledge/ and future shared growth. This is wonderful thought Mark. You had an idea, circumstances were good, and God was kind. See where you are now, and though many of us say otherwise, Face Book is now integral to our lives. In a life time to have achieved this success is indeed God's blessing as also realization that having been born an American came with that. Freedom, respect for freedom, what leads to happiness and other related thoughts are indeed a pleasure given to haves and have nots struggle. This is true. But in all this the basic that a lot of what is achieved in US does not reach the American. That in itself will destabilize the base. Give it a thought. In fact think through your entire philosophy of life. Perhaps inputs and guidance here may help you achieve much more and give you the joy to invest in strengthening the infrastructure and creating the environment here in US. Good luck.
