This year, Climate Week NYC will feature the launching of the ClimateClock, a global project to help focus the world’s attention on the critical timeline required for climate action. Through a combination of large-scale public clocks in major cities, a ClimateClock app, and DIY maker-kit clocks, the project will push the public, governments and private sector to “synchronize our watches” around our critical time window for climate action. The clocks will highlight the world’s urgent net-zero emissions deadline, as well as the many lifelines we can pursue to meet that deadline: empowering people with transformative solutions and resilient strategies, both individual and collective. The Earth has a deadline. Let’s make it a lifeline.
