What a great dog, must be so fit. My dog's legs are too short and she's a little bit fluffy (fluffy is my vet's way of saying she's overweight)

Too often they are used as a cash cow rather than placed to genuinely improve road safety so you can understand why people get pissed off and damage them.
Put them in residential areas, or outside schools and places like that and think people would be more accepting of them

Speed cameras dont make people who speed all the time slow down, they just figure out where the cameras are and slow down passing them then speed back up đ

So many people saying donât speed you wonât get a fine as if they are perfect drivers themselves. Can guarantee every single one of them has broken the Highway Code at some point.

Cost us enough money with these ridiculous speed bumps that do nothing but cause damage to the ever paying motorist. People with no licence or care are the ones they need to catch and get away with it.

Spend this money on repairing our dreadful roads! The money we pay in fuel duty and road tax,( sorry, now called vehicle excise duty ) is enough to have road surfaces the highest standards. The government should stop using motorists hard earned on these devi es, designed purely to make even more!

Instead of cameras why don't they put a bunch of speed humps in I really hate him but they do work I've slowed down quite a bit because of them

Safety cameras installed on a new stretch of motorway on the outskirts of Edinburgh a number of years ago on an underpass linking two motorways & they said they were being installed for safety reasons as a 50mph speed limit was to be put in place once the building was completed not one accident in years but plenty of ÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁ raked in so those who beleive cameras are installed to make roads safer keep believing what they feed you

These are not speed cameras these are money makers , just remember the council, the police are businesses not to serve us they have their own agenda and will squeeze every last penny you have if given the opportunity. FACTs

I think it's about time this happens more. This government are only putting them up so we can be tax more. They don't give a shit about safety so if you ask me, keep up the good work đ đ

If they were serious about speeding then speed bumps and or chicanes are cheaper to install and require zero maintenance or policing, speed cameras are for one thing only, making moneyđ

Vigilantes? Someone ought to tell the 'powers that be' that they themselves are the Vigilantes! The speed limits are there for a reason. Reason is commonsense. Put a camera up, cause people to rebel, against what is perceived as a cash-grab. Most of us mere mortals already pay a combined 40% tax and national insurance on our incomes. Then, we're taxed on our fuel, road fund duty, insurance and running costs, not to mention daily living. The authorities have the audacity to put cameras up at the public expense, in order to tax the public more? Outrageous in every way!
I'm a driving instructor with 36 years driving experience in all classes of axled vehicles and I teach safe, legal driving to all my customers who are keen to keep their licences. If you break the law deliberately and are caught by a Police Officer, fair enough.
If however, you've had a stressful time and are late for an appointment, drive at 36 in a 30 zone, avoid all the dreadful potholes and protect your car, remain focused on your driving, endanger nobody, cause no collisions, pay all your taxes on time and are otherwise a decent, law abiding citizen, being caught by one of these cameras that we've paid for is going to hurt. A lot.
My advice? Keep your eye on your speed as often as you check your mirrors, (which should be often) know the speed limits and drive to what you can see.
If citizens want to rebel against this stealth tax system, I'm going to remain neutral but I won't cry over a speed camera being cut down, only about the bill to replace it. Which they will. How many times they will replace them? How much will it cost? Who wins really? Not the tax payer. Destined to lose.

The people who speed consistently don't get caught.
You only catch the poor fuckers who have accidentally gone slightly over.
The speeders know ways around not getting caught.
But heyyyyyy revenue is revenue isn't it. So that doesn't matter.
Another example of humans fucking humans. The only species in the world out to get eachother.
How dare another human fine another human. We should be equal.

So they use are tax payers money for this but canât put it into something that will help us with living cost and inflation. Honestly I swear if I won the lottery today I would be leaving because clearly this country isnât getting any better for anyone else at this point. Next minute you got 20mph on main roads that use to be 30mph then you got dual carriage ways that use to be 40mph thatâs now dropped to 30mph which is ridiculous, and now these stupid cameras as well, honestly whoever is taking these things down thank you, your doing us all a favour.
