Belfast Ulster-Scots Dance Group, Bright Lights, took part in a range of Burns Night celebrations in Stormont Hotel, Halfway House Hotel and Territorial Army HQ, Belfast.
Congratulations to all the dancers and tutors as well as the organisers of these fantastic Burns Night events, a great night was had by all.

Very sad news today of the passing of James Fenton, poet and author, one of the great champions of the Ulster-Scots language. Our condolences to all of his family and friends. "If there's another world, he lives in bliss: if there is none he made the best of this." Please share.
Writer Angeline King is hosting an Ulster-Scots creative writing showcase this Friday, 5 February, via Zoom.
Angeline is the writer of ‘Dusty Bluebells’, as well as ‘Children of Latharna’ among others. She is also currently Writer in Residence at Ulster University, working as a PhD researcher in Creative Writing.
Friday’s showcase event will feature experienced writers and hobbyists; writers with knowledge of Scots language or an interest in Ulster-Scots culture; and writers from Ireland, Scotland and beyond.
The event will be held from 1.00pm – 2.00pm, Friday 5 February.
