5:00 pm - Olympia Police on scene of two groups of countering protesters on opposite sides of the street at Percival Landing near the old Les Schwab property. Officers advising the two groups are beginning to have a heated verbal argument. Approximately 100 people in the area, no idea on numbers from each side. Traffic flowing freely at this time.
5:25 pm - Disturbance with a gun reported at the scene. One subject in police custody, two others are under investigative detention at this time. Officers have recovered a Kimber brand firearm. Flash bangs and pepper balls were deployed during the disturbance.

OPD is out with a van at Bayview Building Materials on Martin Way for a theft that had just occurred at Buddy's Home Furnishings on Pacific Ave. The vehicle is occupied by 3. This vehicle was also involved in a theft from the Tumwater Home Depot at 3:13 this afternoon.
Items from Home Depot are in the van. Home Depot does not want to press charges.
