NHS trials for a blood test to detect more than 50 cancer types

The NHS recently announced that they would begin new trials in England for a blood test to detect multiple different types of early stage cancer. If successful, the test, known as the Galleri blood test, could become a powerful new tool to detect more than 50 types of cancer at an early stage.

About 1 in 20 cancers are linked to obesity, and the longer you are overweight for and the more weight you carry, the higher the risk is. Though it is important to remember that not everyone who is obese will develop cancer in their lifetime, and being a healthy weight does not preclude you from developing it either.
