I would like to clarify what happened to me today while covering the protests in Sheung Shui and that I was not hit by a police baton.
I was filming on an elevated central reservation between a road and a bicycle lane when police charged in the direction of protesters.
People next to me scattered and during that process something, or someone, caught my backpack or camera strap, causing me to fall to the ground.
My cheek and my right knee hit the ground and my fingers suffered some cuts.
First-aid volunteers on the scene helped me, inspected my injuries and gave me an ice pack for my face.
I lost my camera but it was later found and handed back to me.
I am currently in hospital receiving treatment to my injuries.
